Duranguenee music comes from Durango, Mexico. Instruments used in this type of music are the following: Bass Drum, Cymbals, Drum set, Electric Keyboard, and saxophone. The electric keyboard in Duranguense has unique sounds that replace a trumpet, trombone, tuba, and also saxophone therefore there is no need for an extra trumpet player in the band for example. More instruments may be used but it all depends on the group and how they want to sound. This duranguense movement became known in Chicago and has become a great hit. It has become known and favored all over the U.S. and Mexico within the Mexican Community. Duranguense has its own style in sound, clothing attire, and dance movement.
